Thank you to my darling, lovely, incredible, amazing, best that ever existed....EVER!, little sister Jeanette for making and installing my gorgeous header.
What would I ever do without her? Why... I do believe my world would cease to rotate, it would stand still on it's axis.
I am darn lucky to have such an awesome and talented sister!
And by the way, she would NEVER come on my blog posting about how amazing she is. Even if I did give her my password so she could help me jazz the place up a bit.
no sirree! She would never do that, she just isn't that type, so I will have to do it for her, and let the whole world know that I am blessed beyond words!
Ok, so I didn't like her much when she was a kid, but she has totally grown on me. She is cream of the crop and the cherry on top! (She does have a small "thing" for cherries you know."
Anyway, I will stop gushing now, it's starting to get embarrassing!
But really, Jeanette, You're the GREATEST!
And I love you so very very much! =0P
Love,
Jeanet......er, I mean Me =0)

Blue and Gold
I'm the Bear den leader of our Cub Scout pack. Last night was the biggest event of the cub scout year; the Blue and Gold Banquet. This is actually my 4th banquet. I can't believe I've been in cub scouts this long! LOL Our theme this year was Chinese New Year. It was a really fun theme. I made paper lanterns and red tissue paper flowers, which I hung on a branch that I stuck in a decorated bucket. Turned out pretty cute I think. I also made couplets (chinese characters that are hung on either side of the door) and moon cakes (kind of like a cookie if you make the americanized version). And I can't forget my fish! A whole fish is included in the new year banquet, symbolizing togetherness and abundance. So I drew a fish, painted both sides with pearl-ex to make them shimmery silver, and added glitter. Then I stuffed them with a little batting to make them 3-D. After all, why not go all out? LOL
After the banquet, everyone else threw away the stuff they brought. I, of course, brought home about 20 red and yellow paper lanterns, 6 stuffed paper fish, all the couplets, and about 35 tissue paper flowers. It's SO HARD for me to throw away the stuff I make! Which is why my poor house is bursting at the seams LOL I'm going to force myself to get rid of the lanterns and the couplets, but I'm going to use the flowers in my daughter's room and the fish in S's room. Az (my daughter) has a room decorated in green, yellow and red, so I think I can make something cute out of the tissue paper flowers. And S LOVES fish (he's going to open his own Sea World when he grows up LOL), so I figured I'd make him a mobile out of the fish. I mean, they are really COOL looking, if I do say so myself LOL
So I survived another Blue and Gold Banquet, and I'm already looking forward to next year's!
